If you’re an employer, you must offer insurance to full time employees and report this effort to the IRS. You probably must report if you are in any of the following categories.

• Your company self insures. Note that there is no minimum requirement of fifty employees, you must participate and file reports no matter how many employees you have.

• Your company has fifty or more full time equivalent (FTE) employees. There are some exclusions from this rule. A company owner and his stockholders are not counted. Employees who are receiving TriCare or VA benefits are not counted. This is something that must be determined on a case-by-case basis. I may have been slightly negligent, but I’ve been meaning to write about the Affordable Care Act and have not because I couldn’t decide on a direction to take. I could write a lot about the #ACA, entirely avoiding the political aspects, and while I’m still a novice I have good, knowledgeable people to lean on.

This is my first blog entry, not coincidentally on setting up a website using Joomla! 3. I would first like to recommend the website Lynda.com, and in particular the course called "Joomla! 3 Essential Training" by Jen Kramer. This tutorial was made with an early version of Joomla! 3 so it's slightly dated at this point, but still gives you a tremendous leg up. The course is listed at 9 hours 41 minutes, but you should triple that. It's a little like drinking from a fire hose, so you'll need to pause and rewind frequently.
